Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms & Eligibility

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using applications, websites, or software produced by GoShareTheJourney ("we", "us", or "our"), including JourneyLog and accompanying web tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not download, install, or use our software. You represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (or have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian).

2. 100% User Media Ownership & Copyright Protection

You retain sole, unconditional copyright and ownership of all media and personal data you create, import, or curate inside our applications. This includes your photographs, video clips, GPS coordinates, journal descriptions, and scrapbook layouts.

• No License Grant to Us: Because our software operates 100% on-device, you do not grant GoShareTheJourney any license, transfer, or right to use, view, modify, distribute, or publicize your personal media.
• User Responsibility: You represent that you own or possess the necessary rights and permissions to any photos or audio that you import or share through our tools.

3. Studio Intellectual Property & License Grant

All rights, title, and interest in and to the applications—including compiled source code, visual shaders, user interfaces, vector photobook templates, stickers, decorative stamps, typography pairings, sound effects, and trademarks—are the exclusive intellectual property of GoShareTheJourney.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, GoShareTheJourney grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and execute the applications for personal, non-commercial travel documentation.

4. Restrictions & Acceptable Use

You agree that you will not, directly or indirectly:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the applications.
• Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the application frameworks or proprietary vector templates.
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or distribute the applications or any extracted software component.
• Use the software for any fraudulent, unauthorized, or unlawful purpose under local, state, federal, or international law.

6. Exported Media & Third-Party Sharing

Our applications allow you to export high-resolution vector PDF photobooks and MP4 video recaps. When you export or share these files through system share dialogs to third-party services (such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, or cloud storage):

• You are solely responsible for compliance with the terms and privacy policies of those third-party platforms.
• GoShareTheJourney is not liable for how third-party platforms host, compress, or distribute your exported media.

7. Purchases & Store Billing Terms

If our applications offer paid licenses, one-time unlock purchases, or auto-renewing subscriptions:

• Billing Provider: Payment processing is managed exclusively by Apple Inc. (via the iOS App Store) or Google LLC (via Google Play Store). Your purchase is subject to the applicable store's terms and billing rules.
• Refunds: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple or Google pursuant to their respective customer refund policies.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS")

Legal Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SOFTWARE, SERVICES, AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. GOSHARETHEJOURNEY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY HARDWARE CONFIGURATION.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GOSHARETHEJOURNEY, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES—INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, DEVICE MALFUNCTION, CORRUPTED EXPORTS, TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS, PERSONAL INJURY, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE—ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT ACTUALLY PAID BY YOU FOR THE SOFTWARE APPLICATION GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY US DOLLARS ($50.00 USD), WHICHEVER IS LESS.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GoShareTheJourney and its developers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from or relating to: (a) your access to or use of the applications; (b) any user media or content created, uploaded, or shared by you; or (c) your breach of these Terms or applicable safety regulations.

11. Governing Law & Severability

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

12. Modifications to Terms & Contact

GoShareTheJourney reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If revisions are material, we will provide notice by updating the Effective Date on this page. Your continued use of the applications after such revisions constitutes agreement to the updated Terms.
